Integrations & Infrastructure Engineer
Presentation
🧩 What you’ll own
As the team’s specialist on POS integrations, you’ll take full ownership of designing, building, scaling, and maintaining integrations with external POS providers and related services. This covers:
- Developing new integrations and extending current connectors
- Tackling integration incidents and root‑cause analysis
- Ensuring high reliability and performance as volume grows
- Architecting infrastructure for scalability, observability, and security
- Collaborating closely with product, backend, and DevOps peers
🎯 What we’re looking for
- Product mindset – you empathize with users (e.g., restaurants), prioritize impactful work, and communicate clearly across teams
- Backend focus – strong skills in server‑side development (TypeScript/Node, Python, Go, etc.) and database modeling
- Infrastructure expertise – experience deploying and maintaining services in cloud environments (GCP, AWS, Kubernetes, Docker, CI/CD, monitoring/logging)
- Integration know‑how – comfortable with REST / GraphQL APIs, webhook handling, message queues
- T‑shaped profile – deep backend + infrastructure skills, plus the ability to triage issues, propose solutions, and debug (inc. familiarity with observability)
- 2–5+ years building production services in SaaS or high‑volume systems
- Fluency in English and Spanish (we use both daily – Spanish for syncing, English for docs and code)
⚡ Extras we love
- Experience working with POS systems or in the restaurant/HORECA sector
- Familiar with domain‑driven design or microservices
- Background in incident response, SRE practices, or service-level objectives
🤝 Why you'll love it
- Ownership from day one – lead this mission-critical area as we expand
- Fast‑growing impact – integrations are core to scaling haddock into new markets
- Cross‑functional influence – work with product, customer success, and engineering to shape flow and experience
